Maja Soap by Myrurgia is now made in Mexico. The Maja Soap formula protects the natural composition of the skin leaving it noticeably smooth and supple. The Maja dancing image on all Maja product labels since 1918, is the classic symbol of the style, passion and character of the Spanish woman world wide. Maja Soap is made by Myrurgia which was founded in 1916 by Raymon Monegal, a wealthy industrialist. One of his son's Esteve Monegal Prat, a art student and sculptor was considered the leader of the company. He was involved in the management of the company in his death in 1978. The Maja Flamingo Dancer is the Spanish classic symbol of passion and character for every Spanish woman.
Myrurgia's most well know fragrance is Maja, which was first introduced in 1918 and later was reintroduced in 1945. After the Spanish Civil War of the 1950's and 60's, Myrurgia was the leading manufacturer of perfumes in Spain. In 2000 Puig Beauty & Fashion Group purchased the Myrurgia line.
