In 1970 Swank closed its business and sold the line to Songo which owned the line until it sold it to the current owner of the fragrance Regency Cosmetics in 1986. Since the original product was made by Swank in 1950 the only change to the product through the years was been the color of the fragrance. In the 70s the FDA banned the dye that was used by most fragrances at that time so a different dye was used. The same great fragrance that you loved in the 50s remains the same!

The original blending of citrus, herbal, and fragrant wood essences finished with a touch of musk and vanilla make Jade East After Shave and Jade East Cologne a distinct fragrance that became an immediate favorite among teenagers and young men in the 1950’s who now have sons and grandsons carrying on the Jade East tradition.
